Middle Beach
The start of my third Catalina trip this summer and my first one on sabbatical. Thanks to some classic SFO woes, I missed the Long Beach ferry but managed to catch one out of San Pedro instead. It was a lucky pivot because I met some amazing people from Morro Bay on board. Arrived just in time for a sunset snorkel where a seal actually swam right up to me within arm's reach! Headed to Lobster Trap for dinner, bumped into my new ferry friends, and got to meet the owner Caleb. Finished the night chilling on the beachfront right outside my hotel.
